Nice location in bushland setting.

B & B but room is huge and very comfortable. Plenty of food in continental breakfast. Whilst outside City it is still only short drive to Kingston or City.

This B&B type accommodation is very well set up in a quite rural location and offers an excellent place to relax and enjoy. Very pleasant accommodation, beautiful shower/en-suite and facilities, probably a little 'out of town', but a lovely place to breath in the clean air and shed stress or pressure. We will definitely look up this place again when next visiting the Hobart/Kingston area (southern Tasmania) with the intent of staying again. Love the character of this place.

A warm, private retreat you'll love!

A secluded, comfortable retreat with all that you need for that quiet getaway. Ten minutes from Kingston, twenty to Hobart, and close to all of the great destinations the Channel has to offer. Brunch at the Margate train with a slow browse of the local crafts and antiques, then a scenic drive down the Channel Highway or across to the Huon Valley. Great hosts ensured we were comfortable and had all we needed. We will definitely be returning to this little beauty!

Awesome accommodation with spectacular views!

We booked into Nierinna Rise for 4 days & when we arrived Megs the red Kelpie greeted us with a big waggely tail & a paw held up to shake. What a warm greeting she gave us.. Very clean & comfortable accommodation in peaceful, scenic rural location. Homemade breads & walnut slice, homemade jam, marmalade & honey supplied each morning along with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea & coffee. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room had a very cozy wall heater. The bathroom was very modern with a huge shower recess. The host/hostess were so lovely and couldn't do enough for us, especially Ric who always came to see if there was anything we needed. He had an amazing knowledge of the area & very helpful with trip ideas. We will definitely be back to stay there again & would totally recommend this place to anyone who likes the peace & quiet of a country stay. Sensational !! 12 out of 10..

Rural setting great location

Extremely comfortable one night stay in a very tastefully decorated room separate from but attached to the main house with your own entrance. Fresh flowers, fruit and a delightful breakfast comprising home baked bread, fruit loaf and a choice of jams, yoghurt and fruit juice were all part of the service. There is an extra large bathroom, kitchenette, very comfortable bed and a wonderful view across the hills from your own verandah. We would highly recommend Nierinna Rise at Margate, which is not far from Hobart.

So close and yet so far

Our stay at Nierinna Rise even though for just a night helped make up our mind where in south-east Tassie we wanted to make our new home. The friendly welcoming by the resident kelpie was great and as for the lodgings faultless is all I can say. So close to the gorgeous Margate where we would now love to find a home and you can be in Hobart in no time. We will be back for sure.

Nothing to say except terrific!!! For referece for other tourists, the reality is much better than the photos showed on website. It really surprised us!!! The decoration is given much thoughts to deal with, and the distance is acceptable, only take 20 mins from city. (Actually we took way from sandy bay.) Oh, the hosts are very nice!!!!!
