This is an amazing spot in Hluhluwe. Very central but very quite. Definitely recommend if you want to explore some wild life around Hluhluwe

Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Aufgrund von Problemen bei Buchungen mit dem Hotel bzw. seiner Bank (es wurde mal verfrüht abgebucht, dann doppelt) wurde letztlich, und wir befanden uns bereits im Urlaub, behauptet man habe nicht gezahlt und lud uns aus. Das muss man sich mal vorstellen. Noch nie erlebt sowas. Wie das Hotel ist, wenn man dort ist, können wir somit nicht beurteilen aber so ein Verhalten, was da an den Tag gelegt wurde, lässt mich nur zu dem Fazit kommen, dass Sie lieber ein Hotel im nahen Umkreis suchen sollten. Solch eine Aktion hat für kurze Zeit den Urlaub kaputt gemacht.

Gutes Guesthouse in Hluhluwe

Waren für 1 Nacht im Kudu-Room. Zimmer ist geräumig und angenehm ausgestattet. Die Lodge liegt recht ruhig am Ortsrand. Unser Zimmer ging zum Innenhof und so bekam man gelegentlich Gespräche anderer Gäste mit. Da es am Abend recht kühl war, hatte aber niemand Lust, sich lange draußen aufzuhalten. So hatten wir eine ruhige Nacht. Das Frühstück war schmackhaft und reichhaltig. Die Lodge eignet sich gut als Standort zum Besuch der umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Wir haben die Amazulu Lodge aufgrund ihrer Nähe zum Nationalpark gewählt (ca. 15min Anreisezeit). Die Zimmer und insbesondere das Badezimmer waren sehr geräumig und sauber. Leider gab es einen leichten müffeligen Geruch. Hier würde vielleicht ein Raumdeo helfen. Der Besitzer hat uns freundlich empfangen und gleich Informationen zum Ort (Einkaufsmöglichkeiten/Restaurants) zur Verfügung gestellt. Leider sind diese im Ort etwas eingeschränkt. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht gebucht, da wir früh zum Nationalpark losgefahren sind. Es sah allerdings gut und reichhaltig aus.

Hôtel sympa bien équipé à 15mn de la reserve

Hôtel sympa ds le centre ville mais au calme (proche station essence et supermarché ) nous avons passe une nuit et c est une bonne nuit dans la chambre guépard : très bien équipe et bien décoré ! il Faut etre véhiculé mais possibilité de garer sa voiture ! À 15mn de l entrée de la reserve :-)

Après la magie ... la désillusion

Cette Guesthouse a tout pour plaire, un joli cadre, une jolie décoration, le parc False Bay à proximité. Mais on a plutôt eu un syndrome Disneyland ; la belle grande salle de bain s'est révélée en fait attaquée par les cafards, l'eau de la piscine était verte, le quartier était bruyant la nuit (des chiens aboyant en plein milieu de la nuit pendant plusieurs heures, des trains ...), il faut impérativement passer par le gérant pour donner un pourboire à la femme de ménage .... Par ailleurs pour le moindre service, on vous fera comprendre avec insistance et répétition que ce ne sera pas gratuit. Dans notre cas, nous voulions connaître une adresse pour laver notre linge. La gérante nous a proposé de le faire faire par la femme de ménage pour une 20aine d'euros (sans connaître la quantité). Genés de confier notre linge à laver à la main à une tierce personne et pour un tel prix, nous avons donc fait cela nous-même et avons expliqué à l'ensemble des personnes nous sollicitant avec insistance que le problème était résolu. Au final, notre linge a été séché à la machine sans notre consentement alors qu'un magnifique soleil brillait dehors et aurait fait le travail gratuitement. Evidemment, la gérante est revenue à la charge pour demander de l'argent pour l'électricité ... La pratique nous a fortement gêné, d'autant plus que tous nos vêtements ne supportaient pas le sèche linge. Voilà une Guesthouse qui pour nous n'en a que le nom.

So close but missed the mark

The room and facilities were wonderful, and our stay would have been great if the check-in hadn’t been sour. We pulled in at time of check-in, 2pm and were buzzing outside to be let in for 15 mins so we decided to go to small town and come back. On our return it took another 5 mins to get a response, then as we walked in the reception staff just said he had fallen asleep. My husband came in and complained about the wait, the staff got upset and became very rude. Really unnecessary, a sorry would have been good enough.
