"Very comfortable and well thought out room and welcoming hosts. Wonderful food and tranquil surroundings within good walking country and yet not far from Penrith. "

"This review considers the amazingly low price we paid (£40), compared to other availability in the area.
We requested (and booked) a family room, on arrival, we were given two double rooms opposite each other. Not a problem for our 1 night stay, but it could have been.
The rooms were warm and clean, and had been newly decorated, the bedding was clean and crisp.
The breakfast was adequate, all self serve, tea, coffee, juices, cereals, packet meats and pastries.

"Room was great although quite dusty in places. Staff are friendly however we encountered one staff member being unprofessional upon check out. Generally, we can’t complain for the price and convenience for a one night stay. "
"So noisy on weekends. Can hear music from clubs nearby, drunk people shouting all night, sirens, and people with ridiculously loud cars that felt like they were outside the whole night.
Also we requested a bath but didn’t get one and the standard double is too small for two people. Was convenient to walk everywhere but I guess any hotel would be as the city is very small "
"Travelled with my daughter and her two boys love this hotel been back twice now loved the gym the pool the sauna coming back in march the food was expensive though and we ate out lovely beautifull hotel would highly recomend well done Delta Hotel"
"Good stay overall. Great location for the city centre and close to everything. Nice room and helpful staff. Good breakfast too. My only issue was with the noise coming from the fuse box inside the room when trying to sleep. It was humming loudly constantly and was quite disruptive at times. I realised too late that to stop the humming I had to take the room card out of the power slot by the door. "
"Terrible sleep, which whilst guest behaviour is not the hotels fault, the duration it took to deal with the situation was possibky far more drawn out than it should have been. A guest domestic took place in the room next door just before 1am, took over 90 mins for the guest to be removed from the hotel and because of being on the ground floor, this guest was banging on the windows of the room once he was outside.
Towel rail in the room didn't work which was disappointing as had wet swimwear from the Spa to dry and meant the bathroom was quite cold.
Food in restaurant was average and the premium dishes were remarkably small portioned - the duck stated Duck breast, but was merely a slither of a duck breast.
The dining credit I didnt feel was clear that couldn't be used towards drinks (food only) so financially was worse off when paying the remainder of the bill.
All points raised at check-out but reception staff didn't seem to interested, an quick sorry about that, and more concerned about being able to start checking out the next guest.
I wouldn't return nor recommend a stay.
Gave 3* as the guest behaviour isnt the fault of the hotel and overall stay adequate.
