La fontaine is an outstanding Hotel with anazing views and facilities. AllStaff are brilliant and the breakfast is cooked to order .Location perfect and only a short walk to the centre .Recommend without hesitation

We received a warm welcome whereby Natasha showed us where to park, where to eat, the property and extras like mini bar and fruits. As it was Christmas Eve she also reminded us that places close early and that we needed a reservation for restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean and cosy with fluffy duvets and pillows. We had a great rest that night as well as enjoyed the chess board in the living room area in the evening. Breakfast was amazing as they had prepared a personalized note as well as crackers to start Christmas with. They also had a heated pool which we unfortunately didn’t try out as it was windy and a bit chilly. As I booked with Expedia there was a glitch in the system which I hope to resolve after the holidays because for some reason I had to pay twice. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I can highly recommend this guest house. They do pay attention to details which I really appreciate.

We stopped here as part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful stay. The property is gorgeous and looks onto the sea. Our room was very large with gorgeous views out from the balcony. Natasha the host was so helpful before and during our stay. She booked some local restaurants for us and sorted a taxi to collect us from Cape Town. Would highly recommend this property for a relaxing stay in the area.

The property is lovely and welcoming. It’s unfortunate that the Duty Manager is rude and bitter. She ruined the experience by kicking us out of the property at 11:40 saying that we cannot leave our car because the property closes when she takes her lunch break. We were told that she was new. Well, she clearly should not be working in the hospitality industry. We didn’t even spend 24h on the property although we booked the Honey Moon suite. The other staff members were amazing, especially Edna who felt bad for us and apologized as we were kicked out.

Fantastic stay

Fantastic cottage and location, 5 minute stroll to centre of town with great restaurants and shopping. Had a lovely large room/bathroom and balcony overlooking the coast with far reaching views across the bay. Had great recommendations from host for things to do and local eateries - she was happy to make the bookings and made us very welcome.
