My husband and I stayed at this hotel for four nights in late June 2025. Overall, the Dom Boutique Hotel is not as nice in person as pictured online, however, the biggest selling point of this property is its central location. That said, there are several reasons that left us disappointed with our stay and we don't understand why this hotel has a 9.4 rating on Expedia.
CONS
1. Room was not as pictured with low quality finishings.
2. Low quality linens.
3. There was no running water for a period.
4. Walls are thin, we travel with a noise machine so at least sound from neighbouring rooms were drowned out, but we were awoken 2 out of the 4 nights from loud alarms going off outside.
5. Of the four nights, we only asked to get fresh towels on the third and they didn't have enough to replace all of them.
6. Second, the front desk staff are not very friendly (fine), but when we asked about the gym they said it was downstairs. They failed to mention you need a key to enter, so it was always locked and we had to ask about it since they did not offer this information.

2. Beside a paid valet parking lot
We would definitely look elsewhere if we were to visit Heraklion again.
