The location was excellent, the lady ‘Fay’ greeted us, so lovely and friendly throughout our 2 night stay. She was a once, we will definitely will stay again ‘highly reccomend’, lovely rooms - excellent
Amazing host, Faye is a vibe and made our stay so enjoyable. Room was clean and bed super comfortable. Spa bath was amazing. Will definitely stay here again when we visit

Came to Havelock North with little knowledge of the town. Te Mata lodge was clean, tidy and easily accommodated 2 adults and three kids (Yes Splash planet water park trip).
They suggested Allesandro's which was 3 - 5 minute walk. Literally the best italian food i've ever had. Also went out to Waimarama beach on our 36c day - also a stunning beach which was family friendly to swim - all thanks to Te Mata lodge and their knowledge. Never be scared to ask for tips

Excellent hotel. Spacious very very clean. Two bedrooms. Bathroom spacious. Excellent location close to ain street with shops and restaurants- less than 5 minute walk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Fabulous stay here, A very warm welcome and early check in, very helpful. Room was spacious and clean, very comfortable bed, had everything we needed in our 7 night stay. Just a skip to the shops for dinner or lunch.. felt safe at all times.
Super clean, very friendly and very central location. However definitely an older style motel, rather than what I would call a lodge (ie extra facilities, views or ambience). Giant spa bath in the main bedroom felt like an 80's throwback....
We received a very warm welcome on arrival. Every single thing is beautifully set up in the room. Facilities are fantastic even has an espresso machine and a coffee Plunger. We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of visiting the region.
