"So. This review only refers to the hotel. Schluchsee and the surrounding area is amazing and I absolutely recommend the restaurant Seehof in Schluchsee, although they also have service issues. The hotel is by far not as nice and comfortable as advertised in the pictures and on Expedia as a whole. The rooms are quite frankly a catastrophe in this price segment; no amenities except for a fridge, no AC, no ceiling fan, not even a water boiler. Hotel Hofgut Sternen | Ravennaschlucht

Hotel Hofgut Sternen | Ravennaschlucht

8/10 Good
"We had such a fantastic stay here. Our room was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfasts but did not eat our evening meals there as it was very expensive and the menu did not meet the requirements of our children. We were delighted to spend time in the shops and watch the various demonstrations by skilled artists, just would have been nice if we could have had a beer outside but the beer garden was shut for the rest of the season. A simple but beautiful place to spend a couple of days."
