"A lovely stay at here ..room was a little far away from pool and restaurant but quiet and peaceful by the lake . Fabulous buffet -lots of variety and good quality . Sri Lankan options always best !! Efficient friendly service "

"A beautiful resort complex, the mini homes are spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The full board option was a good choice with breakfast lunch and dinner being a broad array for the buffet with differing choices each day with some staples remaining consistent. The chefs were kind enough to do hoppers in a way that I wanted that was fresh. The pool was closed at the time for maintenance, however you could use the sister hotel’s pool which was a 10min walk away....

"Unser Aufenthalt im Gabaa Resort & Spa war rundum erholsam. Schon bei der Ankunft (sehr spät abends) fühlten wir uns dank der entspannten Atmosphäre und der warmen Begrüßung sofort willkommen. Unser Cabana-Zimmer war geräumig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr privat – perfekt zum Entspannen. Das Personal war immer freundlich und aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. "Location is good. Lots of ants and insects in the room. Host was welcoming. But be aware of food cost. Ask price before ordering. We order seafood dinner for three. He made combination of fish, calamari, tiny crabs and few shrimp and charged 50 dollars(water for drink). We paid as we did not ask before eating. Then he came back and ask 800 rupees for driver’s break fast. We paid. A minute later he came for driver’s accommodation cost. At that point we said, NO. We stayed 2 weeks in Sri Lanka....

"The brother and sister who run this place were very welcoming and even offered us breakfast even though we hadn’t requested breakfast. Very well kept and very safe "
