the staff was nice enough. the stay was far from luxurious. paying that amount of money for a room and being charged a ridiculous amount for watered down alcohol not to mention so much as a free water or soft drink i understand that is out of the staffs control. being fed reheated pasta and rice ,paper thin sliced chicken with mustard, bland barely warm fish. it was a pathetic experience for the price. again mostly out of the control of the staff. simply would not recommend.

The cruise was great. We were a family of four and we had a nice time. Everything was as promised and they were very punctual. The food was good and a lot of options were available. Ha long bay is breathtaking and the this cruise is a perfect way to see it

Amazing trip with so many activities! We did 2 nights, 3 days and had a great mix of things to do from the itinerary and chill time on the boat. We went off peak season so was not too busy or touristy although it was not empty.
The staff were great and really accommodating, nothing was ever too much. Safety standards on Pelican were very high. The food was also great on board and they made a real effort with the service. Highlight was the view from the room - waking up to the scenery outside was second to none! 10/10 would recommend. Thankyou Pelican!

Amazing experience! Ihighly recommend Azalea Cruise! Halong bay area is already amazing, and the crew at Azalea 1 were just incredible The food, hospitality and everything was unbelievable! The staff are so nice specially Elle, she was so helpful and always smiling!
My only suggestion is to change the visit to the village, is a bit long and not much to do or see there, maybe do the cooking class there?
But in general it was really really good! The rooms are so big and the views are breath taking, the whole program is very entertaining!

If you are traveling from Hanoi recommend you use their transport service, the car is huge and super comfortable.

Excellent experience
Totally worth it. The experience lit up our trip in Hanoi.
Very nice staff and scenery. Fun itinerary.
Only thing to be aware is that the fee doesn't cover transportation from Hanoi. (But do book with them.)

Waste of money
We were on the boat 2 night 3 days. Really not worth the money. The food was terrible as they try to make it more high end with 5 different western dishes but instead should just service bah mi or other local food. The view was great but it would be enough after 1 night. Especially because the condition of the boat is old and there was so much dirt in the aircon.

Good Time
The boat offered great service and Halong Bay is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world. The only drawback of the cruise was the itinerary which was very repetitive as we did a 3 day 2 night cruise. Also, the food was nothing special and the AC in our room was very weak. But still, I would highly recommend Pelican.

Great little cruise
The cruise was amazing great service from friendly staff that were willing to do anything to help. I just wouldn't use there transport service from Hanoi as the van drives extremely slow 70 - 80kmh resulting in a 3hr drive that could be done in 1hr 30mins in a private car as they do 130kmh. Over all the cruise was amazing excellent accommodation and food I would suggest 2 nights other wise it is very rushed and not relaxing at all.

Best three days in Vietnam
Wow I cannot recommend this cruise enough. We had heard really mixed reviews about Ha Long Bay. In my personal opinion it was 100% worth it. Some things to note what cruise you pick and duration depends on what you see and how crowded it is. The people who complained to me were people who did crappy cruises or one day trips. I did my research this cruise was one of the most recommended and I did the two night option. This gives you the opportunity to get away from the crowds. While you still get to visit the touristy sights like the hike and caves the second day we were alone all day in Ha Long Bay. The crew is amazing so accommodating and kind. My friend got sick one day from sun poisoning and they checked in on her and tired to make her as comfortable as possible. The food was actually good. Buffet lunch then a 5 course dinner with options such as steak or sea bass. Breakfast buffet with seafood 4 course lunch followed by another 5 course dinner. I do not have a single thing to complain about. I would highly recommend Pelican and the two night cruise.

Unexpectedly Poor Cruise!
I do expect more at this price and this level of Cruise. But the condition and cleanliness are surely below standard, furnitures are old, broken and a bit dirty. Their schedule is always delayed. Keep shortening our activities. One of the staff secretly took photos of my wife and other female customers, and feel angry with me after I discovered his misconduct!! It is horrible! The only good thing is the beautiful scene of Halong Bay, but this is nothing about the cruise's service.

Good experience
There are so many cruises that one can pick on Halong Bay. We picked Pelican based on the rating and friends feedback. The service is good and we are well taken care of. Guides are good. For vegetarians the food choice is limited but good enough to survive a day.

Terrible shuttle bus service.
The cruise experience was pleasant. However, we encountered a very unfortunate incident whereby we booked the shuttle bus service from our Hanoi hotel pick up to the cruise. We were told the pick up would be at 7:15. However, the bus did not arrive until 8am so we decided to take a taxi all the way to Halong. We were never notified of the delay. When we tried to call the sales representative about 20 times there was no pick up. When he finally picked up we have already boarded the taxi. We requested a refund for the shuttle bus and for them to pay for a portion of our taxi ride (total $80usd). They only agreed to pay for the shuttle bus refund but any portion of the taxi. We were very frustrated as we felt we were not notified. Their explanation was that there was a traffic jam hence they had to pick up other customers at other hotels first. I do not buy their excuse as I saw another cruise shuttle bus come pick up customers who stayed at the same hotel as us. Terrible customer service despite the enjoyable cruise stay.

Bem organizado, acomodações excelentes
O conjunto do serviço foi muito bom, o cruzeiro é simples mas bem organizado. As refeições foram boas, mas não excepcionais. Contudo, o esforço da equipe compensa. O quarto era excelente para uma cabine de barco. Amplo, bem decorado, confortável.
