"There was a lot of rowdiness in and around the hotel in the evening and even until the early morning hours. I took a room with a balcony so that I could enjoy a coffee in the morning outside. The tenant next door was smoking mj on his balcony so that made it impossible to sit outside. I didn't report anything but in hindsight maybe I should have just said something to him."

"Good experience over all. It would have been a great experience if the staff in the front lobby paid more attention to the guests that walked in and out. A smile or a hello is all that is needed. A couple of employees were loudly talking with each other and it felt like the lobby was meant for them and not us guests."

"The hotel was very cute with all of the decor. I loved the check in time which was at 2 o’clock.The room was perfect even though small.I loved the way the iPad connected to the lights and tv. I felt safe at CitizenM because no one could get up the elevator without a keycard and when they locked the doors outside you had to use your keycard to get in. The only thing was upon requesting our room to be cleaned it wasn’t. But other than that would recommend this hotel. "

"I don’t really understand some of the bad reviews that I saw before coming here. This place was pleasant experience for us. We went here for vacation and everything was walking distance (food/national mall, museums). Room was small but that didn’t matter we came there to mainly sleep and breakfast was surprisingly good. We saved money on breakfast so that’s a plus alone! We will be coming back here on our next vacation to DC. "

"We had a great stay. Solomon the vallet was outstanding. I was a bit frazzled after driving 7 hours from Asheville and then dealing with DC rush hour driving. Solomon was very helpful and very kind to my wife and I throughout our visit. The front desk staff was super helpful and welcoming. The room was bigger than we had expected and the bed was very comfortable. Great location. All in all a great stay. We would definitely come back again. "

"It was a very cozy boutique hotel; lots of charm! The staff was very friendly and approachable. If I had one minor issue it would be the in-room coffee was not good at all. Cafe Valet needs to retire! Luckily, there was a great coffee place a few doors down from the hotel. My husband and I would definitely stay there again."
