"The location was good for us as we were attending a wedding in the area. The front desk staff was very friendly, and the included breakfast was nice. Our room was simple but clean—we didn't use housekeeping, so I can't speak to that. There is no elevator, so bear that in mind. Also, there is no in-room coffee, which is inconvenient for our preferences. The coffee is only available in the main lobby, and to reach it you must go across the parking lot. The weather was fine the two days we were there, so the biggest inconvenience was getting dressed to go retrieve coffee, then getting back to our room. If there had been wind, rain, snow, etc., it would have been a deal-breaker for us."

"This is the second time we stayed here and I would stay here again. While the rooms feel a little dated, they're spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent, especially if you plan to recreate in the mountains around Gothic Road/Schofield Pass. I do wish the parking wasn't so expensive - $30 per day. Also, there's no AC, which in principle is not a problem because it got down in the 50s each night we were there, so opening up the door cools the room nicely. However, our room was across the way from the neighboring hotel's pool, so between that and the trucks/buses, it was very noisy in the room with the door open, setting up a bit of a no-win."

"The Alpine Inn was very nice and well maintained and Monica was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel was reasonably quiet and the breakfast was excellent for a hot breakfast provided with the room. The WiFi worked at a reasonable speed and the TV had a number of Internet and Direct TV options for entertainment."
