The cabin was very clean and had a range top and fridge. Picnic seating right in front of cabin. It's snug but great if you don't plan on spending the majority of your time in the room. Great for a weekend getaway.
We stayed 6 days. Cabin was small very clean quite campground. Not really any playground equipment for kids. Shower only had hot water for one shower at a time and only about 10 minutes worth. We would stay there again.
The good: This is a nice, clean, quiet RV park right on the lake. The staff was very friendly. We stayed in one of the cabins, and it was clean and modern.
The bad: We booked a cabin with bunk beds and futon bunk, as the other cabin type for the same price (with 2 regular bunk beds and a table/chairs) was not available. The cabin we stayed in ended up being extremely small and uncomfortable for even 2 people. The really bad thing about the cabin however was the beds; I've stayed in some very low-end accommodations around the world and am an experienced backpacker and camper, but the mattresses in this cabin were among the least comfortable I've ever encountered. The bunk bed mattresses in particular were not long enough for an adult and had harsh springs and hard edges. We didn't sleep, and felt we should have perhaps saved our money and camped instead. We would have rather slept on the floor, but there wasn't enough floor space for both of us, and thinking we didn't need them, we didn't bring our own mattresses.
The photos for the other type of cabin show the cabins having microwaves, so I assumed all the cabins here have microwaves. This one didn't. I also didn't bring a pot or a pan to use the stovetop, since I assumed we could heat our food in a microwave. There was also no coffee maker, another item I assumed would be available for the price. If you choose to stay here, just make sure you bring a pot to cook in, a lighter, and some kind of mattress of your own.
Cabin was a great value even for bring your own bedding. Good condition, clean, friendly staff. Only issues were that the stoves needed a match to light and hot water heater tank didn't hold enough for 2 brief showers.
We reserved a cabin online and arrived by bikes. There were no linens or towels in the cabin so we went to the office to see if we could get some. There was a really nice lady who let us use linens/towels but another lady wanted to charge us $20.00! The nice lady said someone else had booked through Expedia and didn't know you had to bring your own linens/towels. We booked two nights but our ride was leaving town early so we had to cancel the last night. The guy who checked us out was not very nice. He said "oh you are the ones who didn't bring linens/towels". I said I wasn't aware we had to and we had biked there (and our friend was driving/meeting us there). He said "oh it was on the website. I booked through Expedia and didn't notice. I just thought he was really rude and didn't need to be. We had to pay for the second night even though we weren't staying which I totally understand. I wouldn't recommend it at all. There is a friendly hostel (the wanderlust right in the town of Gunnison) and they are super nice and have towels and bed sheets lol!
We had a 4 day stay visiting family. The people were nice but the room was very disapointing. From the online picture the room looked larger. There were 2 bunk beds which were VERRY close together. When you walk in the room the space between the beds was just 1 person wide. The kitchen was right off the end of one of the beds and had a small stove, sink and ice box. The bath room was very small also. It was pretty outside. I really would not recomend.
