Demi and the rest of the staff were excellent. They made our stay here very comfortable and convenient, by recommending hidden gems and helping us book certain attractions at special prices. Location is in a peaceful part of Yangshuo, with the hotel breakfast being especially delicious. Highly recommend!

Beautifully appointed rooms with high windows, A/C, comfortable beds, and a fantastic English speaking host, Demi. We loved the “Western Breakfast” b/c after 2 weeks of continuous Chinese food we were really craving a break. Eggs, waffle, juice, coffee really hit the spot. I can also vouch for the Muesli over yogurt. The pizza is “different” but I still enjoyed. There is an enterprising coffee shop up the road serving espresso drinks with dogs and country western music. Take the hike to Moon hill.

Yangshuo Escape

The Hotel is a little out of town, but close enough that its not difficult or expensive to get into town. Located near the river it provides easy access for walking trails, push bike riding, bamboo rafting etc in a safe not busy location. The staff were amazing happy to assist with everything. While we were visiting we encountered a one in 50 year flood that caused major issues to the area. Staff were able to provide generator for power each evening. The location is very picturesque and a lovely place to stay.

Great place to wake up to mountains in the morning. A little far from where the action is but then if objective is to get away from the hustle and bustle, fits the bill. West street just a 15 min Didi ride away so small compromise. Wonderful little quaint place.

Nice traditional Chinese style accommodation with character. Didn’t have to lift a finger with luggage as staff took care of it all. They are very helpful in organizing transport, electric bikes/bicycle rentals & giving useful travel advice. The food served there is very nice too, love the orange duck we had for dinner.

Amazing place - did not want to leave!

Me and my girlfriend had the most amazing stay at this beautiful little hotel. The room was spotless and so beautifully put together, the service was amazing and the food from the restaurant was top notch. I had my birthday while I was there and the lovely ladies at reception even arranged a cake for me as a surprise! A truly magical stay that we could not recommend highly enough. Thanks so much!

They had a free dumpling making class which was wonderful. They cooked our dumplings after we made them and we had a free dinner. The staff was always extremely helpful and wonderful.

Wonderful stay at this beautifully designed boutique hotel. They pay attention to details of design, "cleanliness", and service. Yummy food that we didn't want to go anywhere else to eat, and very friendly, especially Tina and Erica. Sure is a hidden gem, very glad I found this place. Highly recommend!

It was a great place to stay for couple of nights, specially for a family of 5. The view is beautiful and is close to several beautiful spots (by renting a scooter). The food they serve in their restaurant is fantastic. The kids loved it.

An oasis in the midst of a gorgeous place

Mountain Nest Was an excellent experience! It is located in the protected area of Yangshuo in a traditional village which means that your vehicle can only take you to the gate during the day and you will transfer onto an electric vehicle operated by the national park. Once inside the park, you can ride bikes or rent electric scooters to explore the area and beyond. Check in was smooth with fresh squeezed orange juice and all the staff are like family, going out of their way to anticipate your needs. They prepared an incredible cake for a birthday, collected our wallet that was left in another city, and are truly helpful. I would say that their transfer and tour costs are on the high side. The property is beautiful with amazing views, great garden, rooftop and gorgeous antique decoration. They helped upgrade us to a king size bed room as we had an issue with our shower door. They are worth the splurge as they are much better decorated and more comfortable than the standard rooms, even with a tub in the living area. If you prefer the hustle and bustle of a large city, West Street and Yangshuo is likely a more suitable option.

Hotel situado en una zona tranquila en las afueras de la ciudad, junto a una pequeña carretera de tráfico muy limitado. El hotel es una construcción de aires tradicionales, con mucha madera. Dispone de cinco pisos con habitaciones, nosotros estuvimos en el quinto. La habitación era amplia y agradable, pero había que subir andando (asumible), aunque las maletas subían en montacargas. El desayuno se sirve en el restaurante con vistas (nada excepcional) de la quinta planta y es a petición (no buffet) entre unas opciones limitadas, pero suficientes. Las responsables de recepción hablan inglés sin problemas (una más que la otra) y son atentas y resolutivas. Desde el hotel pueden alquilarse bicicletas y motocicletas eléctricas (una muy buena opción) o contratarse alguna excursión en taxi.

A nice place in Yangshuo

Although the place is a ways from downtown, and therefore you need a taxi to get there, the views of the hills are arresting! The staff is fantastic, they all speak very good English, and they are extremely helpful in booking activities and transportation for you. Moreover, the hotel has a restaurant with pretty good food. The only thing that could improve is the cleanliness of the bathroom. Overall, a very nice place, I totally recommend it.

Fantastisk rustikt og charmerende hotel

Vi valgte Mountain Nest på baggrund af anmeldelser på Tripadvisor og vi fortrød bestemt ikke vores valg. Allerede inden ankomst oplevede vi en meget fin kommunikation med Erica, som var behjælpelig med at få booket Li River Cruise, som vi brugte som transfer fra Guilin til Yuangshuo. Der var styr på alt fra afhentning på vores hotel i Guilin til afhentning ved båden i Yuangshuo og transporten til hotellet, som ligger lidt udenfor byen i en nationalpark, og derfor har lidt specielle transportforhold. Hotellet er virkelig charmerende og unikt indrettet - meget rustikt - og fra restauranten på 5. sal er der fantastisk udsigt til Karstlandskabet, som det ligger midt i. Restauranten har iøvrigt et meget udvidet menukort og maden smager dejligt. Alle på hotellet er utroligt imødekommende og hjælpsomme og har god humor og alt kan lade sig gøre og til meget rimelige priser. Vi fik arrangeret mange unikke oplevelser under vores ophold; privatundervisning i Tai Chi i gåafstand, leje af mountainbikes for cykeltur til Yulong River efterfulgt af tur ned ad floden på bambusrafts, ideer til vandreture i nærområdet, besøg i Yuangshuo by og ud at se Impression Liu Sanjie show. Erica havde ideer til mange flere oplevelser, så man skulle blot vælge. Vores drenge på 7 og 12 husker dette sted, som det hyggeligste, trods overnatning på flere hoteller med 5 stjerner og pool. På Mountain Nest er der lagt op til nærvær og hygge og smukke oplevelser.
