"The night I arrived the entry codes worked however, there was someone else in my assigned room. It was late in the evening, and I called the hotel support. Luckily, [and by chance] they were able to get me into another room [which was not what I had reserved]. The light in the bathroom did not work. Maintenance did not come until the third day to fix it. The cleaning staff was extremely kind and helpful because there was no one else there to help. "Lovely location and good chalet. Just needs a bit of focus -dishwasher doesn’t work as jets completely chalked up. No towels or bedding in one of the bedrooms on arrival, although did fiz this quickly the next day after it was reported. Excruciating when the whole evening when you’re sat in the living area, the floor above scrape chairs across the floor making your ceiling shudder. Perhaps a bit of felt under the chairs legs?"

"Clean, efficient, utilitarian, well-equipped. While it does not have a "personal touch," it is not endeavoring to offer that. It does the job well as a convenient, reliable place to stay that is well cared for and streamlined. Would definitely stay here again."

"The property was well located, very modern and in good condition. We had a room with views to the lake. The reception staff were very attentive and very willing to help. A great breakfast was available. The hotel also has laundry facilities. If you have a car book ahead for parking. The only negative was the lack of power points which made it difficult to charge accessories or use a hair dryer. Would stay again."

"Gruyeres Rooms was a wonderful hotel! The room was huge, and I woke up to a beautiful view in the morning. It’s in the center of the village but very quiet. Plus, I missed a couple of train connections and arrived at the station down below after 10:00. I called the hotel and the manager’s brother walked me through everything. Yay!"

"The property is immediately opposite Lausanne rail station and between the 2 metro stops. It is very quiet inside the hotel and the bed was extremely comfortable. There is a coffee maker in the room and a carafe for water. The shower is great. The staff are all very helpful, with ideas for places to visit and transport information "
