Hotel Dekat Griswold Island

"When I arrived at check in there were two police there with a barely dressed person whom they seemed to be checking out. Then social workers came in as well to deal with the situation. I don’t know what was going on but it made me concerned about the safety of the hotel for guests. The parking lot was in poor condition and the outdoor pool not just closed but scattered with debris. The room was clean enough but the halls and common areas seemed worn."

"Great location, lovely room and the owner was very helpful. They even let us store our e-bikes in their garage. I would stay there again for sure."

"We really liked the fact it was pet-friendly. Our room had sliding glass doors on the shower so we could put kitty into the shower area, jam a towel intothe space between them to keep them closed and then still use the bathroom. We never let her out into the main room because on a different trip she got out and hid under the bed - not fun getting her out from that!! I also liked the friendly service - even though there were a lot of gurest and demands, he showed us the room and was very helpful...

"Unique room with many pluses. If one was staying more than one night all dishes etc were available to cook. If 911 needed not sure how they would enter."

"Breakfast was so so. Everything seemed to be bla. Even the mild coffee was very dark and not very tasty. Left the Hotel and went to Tim Hortens for coffee Ice machine on our floor "3rd" was out of order. By looking at the bathroom, especially shower, you wouldn't think this was a new hotel."

"Well placed near shopping and restaurants and close to the 401. All good, but ask for a room facing away from the highway as it was too loud"
