The hotel is very conveniently located near the train station, but the lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable on hot days. It said 24-hour staff, but they were not there early in the morning. I needed to check out early morning, so I called and messaged the staff to ask them to send me a receipt, but they ignored my calls and messages.

It's almost impossible to have a more convenient location. This is the main reason I booked this hotel. There are dozens of highly rated restaurants within minutes from the hotel. The one that I enjoyed the most was La belle idee. Hotel staff were great and very friendly. They helped me with information regarding local transportation and how to purchase and validate tram tickets. Downtown, la bastille, the river and other major attractions are within 15 minutes waking distance. If you want to enjoy Grenoble, walk as much as possible. The thing that I didn't like the most was the small room size, especially when compared with what you usually expect in the United States. However, this seems to be more or less standard size in these older buildings. Finding a significantly larger room comes with higher rates and a location much less convenient. I stayed for 6 nights so after my 3rd night it started feeling alright. The double bed was not the most comfortable but it was OK too. I hope the management considers upgrading their mattresses for more comfort. I would stay again if traveling solo. It would be much harder if my wife traveled with me with one or more of her luggages. I only had a carry-on so it was OK but there's no way you can open and organize a large luggage in my room. Perhaps, they have more spacious rooms that were not shown while booking because the hotel was nearly full. If this is the case, I'd love to stay here again.

Hotelrechnung wurde bereits vor Ankunft (um 13:00) von der bei der Buchung angegebenen Kreditkarte abgebucht. Obwohl „bezahlen in der Unterkunft“ vereinbart war. Hotelpersonal hatte keine Ahnung und konnte überhaupt nicht helfen.
