Great get-away vacation spot

We had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff and the people throughout Green Turtle Cay were friendly and delightful. The accommodations were excellent - clean, fresh, well-maintained, with a beautiful view and on the beach. The beach bar and the restaurant both served excellent food and drinks. There is a marina for those arriving by boat. We have stayed in luxury resorts and hotels worldwide. For a quiet, relaxing vacation, Bluff House exceeded our expectations.

Great Location

Green Turtle Cay is a great vacation spot, secluded. Bluff House was outstanding. You will need to rent a golf cart for your stay, $45 a day.

Room right on the water

We loved our room right on the water! From our porch we could watch the sunsets, the sailboats, and I even saw a dolphin swim by. At night we fell asleep to the sounds of the surf. We also loved the private beach and the 2 restaurants. The chefs were very good and all the staff was super friendly.

Bay side shallow water

Hotel is in need of some repair. Most of the staff was very pleasant. Manager lacked professionalism. Needed to stay on top of them if you needed them to make arrangements for you.

Beautiful Getaway!

We spent 4 days in Green Turtle Cay at The Bluff House for my husband's 50th birthday. It was such a wonderful, unexpected stay. The room was nicely appointed, clean, and had the best view of the gorgeous water. All staff were kind and helpful. We had rented a golf cart ahead of time and it was waiting with one of the employees when we got off the ferry! Our flight was late and so we were arriving hours later than expected, still someone waiting for us!! The food at the little beachfront bar is good. So fun to ride around this beautiful island on the golf cart. Can't say enough about how happy we were with our time there.

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location

We loved Bluff house! A tranquil setting over looking the bay towards Abaco. The staff were lovely and made us feel right at home (thanks Renee and Fiona). Our room was decorated in a colonial style with a super comfy king size bed and balcony looking over the bay. We enjoyed some lovely meals in the bar st the beach (the tranquil turtle) and lazy days chilling on the beach or snorkelling on the island. Thank you Bluff House for a great holiday)!

Lovely, even without Internet!

The Bluff House is a great spot, terrific staff and terrific rooms. But quite often Bahamas Telecom has issues and you'll be without internet.

Not worth the high price!

Treated rudely by staff member; terrible customer service from this person. Very squeaky floors, can hear every step in adjacent rooms. Needs updating badly. Bathroom and tub smelled like a sour mop. Definitely NOT worth the high price of this room. Had small fridge but no microwave. Beautiful island to visit, but rent a cottage instead!

Gorgeous hotel on a beautiful beach!!!

My husband, daughter and I stayed in one of the Superior Rooms at Bluff House in early March 2017. The room was beautifully decorated, large, clean, and had an amazing view of the Sea of Abaco from the semi-private balcony. We asked for and were provided with a brand-new pack 'n' play for my 15-month old to sleep in; the king bed was very comfortable with beautiful white bedding. The room was only a short walk away from a gorgeous private beach with the best beach bar and bartenders on the island! We spent most afternoons watching our daughter play in the sand while sipping on rum drinks (the Tranquil Turtle and Snapping Turtle are very tasty!). We rented a small boat and were able to keep it at the dock at the hotel, which was very convenient; we also rented a golf cart, which the hotel arranged for us and was delivered directly to the hotel for our use. The restaurant served great food (the fresh seafood is to die for) and the service and view of the marina were outstanding. I can't say enough about the staff - Molly, Mickey, Juice, Dolenn, Natasha, just to name a few - they feel like family and we cannot wait to return as soon as possible!

Must see!! Close to the Beach!

Not only is the hotel close to the beach but the view from the room is breath taking! You are also close to a restaurant and bar with excellent staff and food! The whole experience is unforgettable! We will be back!!!

Best View Ever

LOVED the Sea View Room. Better than expected considering we were on an Out Island. Expect some bumpy roads when touring the island. New Plymouth was a fun little trip. Bought 2 island dresses and bracelet at gift shop in town. Marinas and beaches are very scenic. Enjoyed our breakfast lunch and dinner...all good!

We really enjoyed the boutique resort atmosphere.

The rooms are beautiful with fantastic views, private balconies and modern amenities. The staff was extremely friendly and personable and we made friends with nearly everyone there. We found everyone to be very accommodating. The private beach and Tranquil Turtle Beach Bar were wonderful! The island is very private and remote but had everything we needed and wanted.

Service and room great; property needs maintenance

I am a local tourist in the Bahamas and I have visited Green Turtle several times but this was my first time staying on this property. Overall I enjoyed my stay. The room and service were great but the hotel property shows signs of age and doesn't appear that it is being maintained. Some of the Vilas/rooms were closed and appeared to be under "renovation", but I'm not sure if this is a permanent closure. This property is a quite a distance from the main town but it didn't bother me since I wanted to just relax and preferred to be more secluded. There are 2 full restaurants and bars on the property but no room service. The staff were great and the service was exceptional. No complaints there. Overall, I would recommend this hotel but just be aware that it is a bit run down. Didn't bother me much since the good points made up for it, just depends on your preference.

Amazing location on the water, beautiful rooms

Loved this place but it is removed from most of the rest of the island and certainly far from town. You need a golf cart for sure so make prearrangements. The staff is very nice but booking things isn't their forte, so you're better off taking that into your own hands. The views and the beach are amazing though and worth the driving back and forth if you get a cart. Food is ok.
