"There was an issue where the property can’t see what is booked through Expedia so they put us in a queen when we booked a king. They quickly rectified this, put us in a king and waived our pet fees. Everything was excellent with this historical hotel. The location and amenities are top notch and it was such a fun, but interesting step back in time. "The pool and hot tub were great. The room was clean and tidy. The only thing that sucked was the lack of breakfast. Apparently there are two different types of continental breakfast and when booking I unknowingly chose the wrong one. Breakfast was yogurt and a granola bar. The only other thing that was offered was fruit. When booking it just says continental breakfast but you have the choice of paying more for the same description. "First thing you notice when you walk in to check, in and if you wake up early enough when you walk out the door is how incredibly clean the property is. Room was exactly what we need as a family of 3 with a toddler on a roadtrip. Pool was excellent, and the breakfast was great for what you get. On the road trip we’ve stayed at what most would say are two other “upscale” hotels, this property blew those away on cleanliness alone!"

"Although the room & bathroom were clean, when we entered the room upon arrival, a very unpleasant sewage odor was present. This odor was corrected by an air freshner my husband found in the exercise room. The curtains need to be replaced as the backing was deteriorating allowing streetlight & am sunlight to filter through. The beds were very comfortable; the linen & towels were adequate. The staff was very cordial & parking was adequate. The breakfast offered was limited."
