"I gave this hotel 5 stars because of the price. The room had everything we needed. There was an indoor and outdoor pool that both worked great. Yes, the hotel could use some updates, but all we needed was a clean place to sleep. Also, I do not consider donuts a continental breakfast, but with all of the money we saved staying at this hotel we were able to eat out for breakfast and lunch and still spend less than staying at one of the hot breakfasts included hotels."

"We stayed in the yellow house. It's clean and well maintained. The distance from the pool/food is good. The stairs to transport your luggage is steep. It has 3 bedrooms. One bedroom had a low quality mattress. We moved into a different bedroom after a few hours on the mattress. There isn't much to do around the resort as far as food/bars. If your plan is to hang at the pool or on the water then this place is perfect. No outside food or beverage (including water) is allowed to be brought into the pool area. They check bags."

"The staff was extremely welcoming. The landscape is absolutely beautiful. The Spa is in walking distance and the staff there is amazing. Very pleasant and professional with a variety of treatments available. The outdoor swimming pool is a little small for a resort but there is a cabana and outdoor bar poolside also there is an indoor swimming pool and hot tub on the lower level of the hotel. If you are a golfer it’s a fantastic course to play however for those of us who don’t golf the amenities are limited. At the resort itself. However it is extremely clean with nice size bathrooms and comfortable beds. There is a lot of construction in the area that will bring new attractions the lake is just about a mile away from the resort. We had a great experience and highly recommend Old Kinderhook."
