Grand Coteau Hotels with Swimming Pool

"The property was pretty run down and smelled musty- carpet in room was dirty as was floor in bathroom. The night we checked in there was no hairdryer or coffee maker or hangers. When we called reception we were told they don’t provide any hangers and we would have to wait until the manager comes in in the morning to get a hairdryer. The hairdryer was installed the next day and the following day a new boxed coffee maker was delivered to our room along with 7 hangers after we went and bought some. Staff cleaning the rooms (not ours for the 4 days we were there) we nice and worked hard and gave us fresh towels when requested. Not sure we’d stay again but the price was cheap enough"

"The location was close to downtown near the festival and the staff was nice. The bed frames have metal wrapping that makes noise when you get in and out of the bed. It was a bit annoying but tolerable."

"Breakfast menu was fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Trash can was not emptied when room was cleaned. Shower water was impossible to regulate…went from boiling to too cold with a slight adjustment. Disturbance in the parking lot at 2AM on Saturday nite was stressful and altho short lived, interrupted our sleep. Will make us reconsider staying here again. "

"Decidedly average hotel booked by my Wife and I for the Lafayette Festival Louisianne. The best thing about the room was the shower due to its amazing water pressure. Otherwise, a few negatives to point out were: the fact that when the air conditioner kicked on it was very noisy, the fact that we could hear the flushing of toilets emanating from other rooms in the hotel, and the fact that our room situated on the 2nd floor facing the front of the hotel was not as sound proof as we would have liked. An example of the lack of sound proofing was the fact that we could hear some people outside our window talking late into the night (albeit the conversation was muffled). For the price of some $300/night"

"Spent two nights. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Great water pressure in the shower. The breakfast and happy hour buffets were substantial and tasty. The hotel manager came around to ask guests how their stay was going. Didn't use the pool but it looked well-maintained. Ticked all my boxes. Highly recommend."

"The first room had a broken lock on the door. The second room didn’t have a working microwave or fridge. The pool was said to be warmed but was freezing cold and we couldn’t use the hot tub. The towels by the pool was dirty and there were used band aids by the pool"
