" I sent a email and left a voicemail message confirming late arrival to no avail. We did eventually get in by calling the emergency number. The room was OK, very noisy because of the Iron Man commentator on a microphone over all of Summerstrand but expect that’s a one-off. Breakfast was confused and non-communicative. We had to work out the procedure ourselves. Coffee? Table service or self-service? Three attempts to get coffee. Two attempts to get cutlery then a teaspoon instead of a tablespoon. The food itself was very good so why can’t the service match? "

"Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, just across the highway from the bay. The view was nice but it was of the dock for the big ships so it wasn't just nature, but rather of the workings of a big port. Although you could turn to the right and see the open ocean. We were very very lucky and were there the morning of the Iron Man and the bicycle portion of the race went by right outside our window!"

"Location was good the idea was tom have a rest after 30 hours flying and pick up our rental car from the airport the next day. Even thou this is a very large hotel our room was situated on top of the gigantic commercial extractor fan system,them the noise was constant. If you are using this booking system request to be away from it otherwise with jet lag is very hard to sleep. We enjoyed our breakfast. Staff was friendly."
