It's a great central location to go to Gullfoss, Geysir, several hikes (some that are only accessible in the summer), the only mushroom farm in Iceland and has a cafe, a dairy farm with cafe, and the Secret Lagoon. There's also a great restaurant ten minutes away that specialized in chocolate and langostines. Our room was quite large, which we appreciated.
