Um es klarzustellen, es ist keine Luxusunterkunft, eher ein gehobenes Hostel. ABER: Wer nicht gekommen ist, um im Zimmer zu sitzen, sondern sich die Stadt anzusehen, findet hier eine einfache, funktional eingerichtete aber dennoch gemütliche, ruhige Unterkunft in unschlagbarer Altstadt-Nähe. Dazu ist das Personal sehr freundlich. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in gastlicher Atmosphäre

Evangelisches Gästehaus in Gründerzeitgebäude

Schönes Gründerzeitgebäude in ausgezeichneter, zentraler und dennoch ruhiger Lage. Wenige Gehminuten in die Altstadt, zum Theater, ins Geschäftszentrum und zum Grenzübergang nach Polen. Das neue Kulturzentrum "Synagoge" ist auch nah. Es handelt sich nicht um ein klassisches B&B, sondern um ein evangelisches Gästehaus mit Veranstaltungsbereich (Konzertprobe war laut). Parkplätze stehen derzeit (November 2021) wegen Bauarbeiten nicht auf dem Gelände zur Verfügung, man kann aber in der Umgebung kostenlos auf der Straße parken. Auch während der ohnehin eingeschränkten Öffnungszeiten war die Rezeption nicht durchgängig besetzt, was zur Verzögerung beim Check-In führte (aber alle Mitarbeiter sehr nett und bemüht). Die Zimmer sind praktisch eingerichtet (ohne Fernseher). Alles sehr sauber. Das angebotene Frühstück hatte ich nicht gebucht, weil es in der Umgebung viele nette Cafés gibt, die auch Frühstück anbieten (u.a. am Postplatz ab 07:00 auch Sonntags). Wenn man keine hohen Ansprüche hat, ist man hier sehr gut aufgehoben.

Nice location and comfortable place

Friendly manager. They offer chocolate for guests and tea. Great location and very clean. I will be back. And last but not least so beautiful town, must visit.
