"I was absolutely stunned that a full hotel, walking distance from an airport, was so quiet! I've never had a better night's sleep in any hotel in my life. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, and I never heard a single neighbor or elevator or jet. So A++ for that. Also, hotel is walking distance from the airport if you figure out how, but I opted for the four-pound shuttle because I was exhausted. Runs every few minutes. My only quibbles are with the industrial-style pipes decor. Maybe...

"Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. "

"Room was great. Booking in was awful. All young staff, no management visible. Absolutely awful. Expected a bit of noise from pub. But sounded like being above a club. Drum and base beyond 12 midnight. Tea and coffee minimal. Wouldn’t consider staying again. Cleaner in the morning, absolutely delightful. Best member of staff for sure!"

"Excellent big house for a large group with 3 separate entertaining areas, a beautiful open plan kitchen and all amenities provided. The table tennis table went down very well with the children and big children alike. The only minor suggestion would be to provide more toilet roll but overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend to other families looking for a modern clean getaway."
