The property itself was in a great location in regards to things around the island and the harbor but it was noisy being right next to the restaurant at the hotel. I asked if their construction would continue the next few days and they said no just today, but every day when we tried to nap we’d hear the hammers . I even ask if I could pay for an upgrade to escape the noise but never got back to me. In the evening it was loud until 10p because people were drinking and eating at the restaurant. At 5am I would be woken up by the loud speaker for prayer.

Bed Bugs and Poor Hygiene – Disappointing Stay

I had to check out early due to a bed bug issue. One staff member kindly changed the sheets, but the bites continued. When I asked another staff member to inspect the room for future guests, they simply said, “We’ve never had this problem in that room before” and refused to take further action. They offered me a different room, but it was in worse condition, so I declined. No refund was provided. Very disappointing experience overall, especially in terms of hygiene and customer care.

Gilin paratiisi

Gili Trawangan on mukava todellinen rantalomakohde, jonne pääsee suhteellisen helposti Balin saarelta. Päätimme jäädä kahdeksi yöksi. Hotellin palvelualttius on korkeaa tasoa, niin kuin ystävällisyyskin. Huoneet ovat oikein sopivat tähän kohteeseen, varustettuna tehokkaalla AC:lla. Sänky oli liian kova omaan makuun ja Wi-Fi toimi luvattoman huonosti. Tähän olisi hyvä hotellin panostaa jatkossa. Hintaan kuuluva aamiainen on maittava ja iltapäivän happy hour riittoisa 😉 Uima-allas on kivan kokoinen, saa uida ja polkupyörän saa helposti vuokrattua. Se on suositeltavaa sillä saarella on helpointa liikkua pyörällä ja paljon on nähtävää sekä tehtävää 10-15 pyörämatkan päässä.

Wonderful staff and Hotel :)

We were greeted by a lady called Marissa who was such a lovely lady, she went out of her way to get to know you personally and was very helpful with everything. The rest of the staff were amazing too and made us feel at home. The hotel and rooms themselves were beautiful and only a short walk away from the night life. The hotel was quiet and the pool was beautiful. I will definitely be staying at Gili Amor again.

Bedbugs!!

Vi er ret sikre på at vi fik bedbugs af at overnatte her!!! Da vi fortalte personalet, virkede de meget ligeglade og var meget uhøflige. Deres svar var blot “det skulle i have sagt, så kunne i få et andet værelse” men da skaden allerede var sket, var dette fuldstændig ligegyldigt!!

Nice hotel with friendly staff

It was not the most comfortable hotel I've been to, but for the Gili island, I think it was good standards. Towels smelt too much of detergent. Overall good.

Gili amor boutique hotel

The stay at the amor boutique was very pleasant. The outside area and restaurant are very nice and the pool is super cool. A few of the rooms need updating as the bathrooms are a tad tired. We had one of these rooms when we first turned up but asked if we could swap and they sorted it immediately with no hassles at all. There are two mosques on the island and there are 5 calls a day. It is hard to escape them and one is much louder than the other. The one closest to the amor Is the quieter one and isn’t bad for the noise. You can hardly hear it when you are inside. (I have stayed at Gili many times and would recommend not staying any further to the right than the amors location, the amor and to the left is the better locations).

Super mysigt hotell!!

Detta hotellet tyckte jag verkligen om! Jätte mysigt, lungt och fint! Frukosten var faktiskt över förväntningar. Det enda som var dåligt var att våran ac lät så himla mycket, så vi var tvugna att stänga av den på nätterna och det resulterade i att man inte sov så mycket för det blev för varmt.. Men vi sa dock inte till om detta, så dom skulle säkert kunna fixa det direkt om vi bad om det. Personalen var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma.
