"The first thing that hit us was the amount of graffiti on and around the building. But, once inside it was very clean and light. The desk staff was very responsive and informative. The rooms were small, but well appointed with great air conditioning, which was very important with temps in the high 90's and low 100's. Great location for walking to local restaurant and souvenir shops."

"We greatly enjoyed our stay at Citizen. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Rome. It was in a fantastic location, staff were very nice and accommodating. The rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable!! We wish we could stay in Citizen M forever!"

"The staff was very attentive and prompt to every request. My wife is a clean freak so I always worry about non branded hotels in other countries because sometimes they skew reviews but the reviews on this boutique hotel held true. Very clean, solid AC, fun funky 2 floor layout for the family room which my kids loved. Location was optimal for 10-20 minute walks to many of the top attractions and restaurants. The walks themselves were an attraction. Highly recommend!"

"We had a lovely stay overall, particularly because of the amazing room, excellent amenities and fantastic location. The rooftop views were beautiful and made our stay feel extra special. A special mention must go to Fernando from the concierge team, who was exceptional throughout our stay. He was always on point, friendly and helpful, and provided us with all the information, advice and recommendations we needed. He genuinely helped us make the most of our time in Rome. However, Fernando worked within the concierge service rather than Guest Relations, and it should not have been left entirely to him to provide this level of support. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were given very limited information about the hotel’s facilities, rooftop areas or breakfast arrangements. We were also disappointed that, when we checked out, nobody asked whether we had enjoyed our stay or whether there was anything the hotel could have done better. These are important personal touches that we would expect from a hotel of this standard. We were visiting to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and I had arranged for a cake with a candle and a bottle of champagne to be delivered to our room at an agreed time while we were there, together with a “Happy Birthday” sing-song. However, the team arrived approximately half an hour too early and explained in front of my wife that they understood the cake and champagne were simply to be left in the room while we were out. This was not what had been arranged a"
