"The location of Pousada de Marvão is hard to beat. You can drive your rental car to a small parking lot just down the street from the Pousada. The staff were lovely—friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very generous. The restaurant has windows all along the back wall, giving a view of the valley below and into Spain! The beds were firm. The shower water got quite hot, as we like it. The pousada has lovely sitting areas, near a fire place and near a large window, but we didn’t have time to enjoy them. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and it was excellent."

"A beautiful old hotel very clean, maintained, and well run by very helpful friendly staff speaking good English. Tile work, patios, free large breakfast, dining room all excellent. Rooms beds bathrooms balconies a/c comfortable & decorated if basic. Several elevators available and running. Parking on site Clean pool but closed for season. Pleasant orderly town."

"Beautiful property in an excellent location in Marvao! The room was clean, had everything we wanted and needed, and the hotel towels made it seem luxurious! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the staff were super friendly!"

"This hotel was located right in the centre of a little town and the front desk staff was so helpful. Her English was excellent and she gave us many suggestions of places to eat and even phoned over to a car repair shop for us to fix a tire. The hotel is located along a beautiful channel that you walk along to get to the local restaurants. The room was rather small but suited our needs and was very clean. Breakfast was provided and it had a variety of cold options. The hotel was only 10 km from Marvao and I would highly recommend it if staying in the area."

"Hotel with a great view. Rooms were clean. Included breakfast was very good. We did not use the outdoor pool but the indoor pool was very warm and relaxing."

"Beautiful place to stay. Very comfortable. Minor complaint. Only socket on one side of bed so you could connect the lamp that side or a charger, but not both. Nothing on the other side."
