"A nice hotel conveniently located near restaurants, groceries, and the harbor. Wonderfully friendly staff. Large rooms with private baths. I didn't pay for the breakfast because it was ridiculously expensive for what is offered, so don't know if it is good. Overall, a nice hotel in a lovely town. "

"Rooms are not fancy but adequate. Food in the restaurant is very good. You have to try the Puffin appetizer. It’s really delicious. Setting of the hotel is very nice with a river and horses behind the hotel. We enjoyed playing with the “pet” fox that lives on the property. It’s fun watching the fox pester the dog that also lives on the property. "

"This was one of the best views in a hotel that i have ever had. It is so peaceful and truely reflects tbe icelandic way of life. Excellent service and management. This is a must stay for those seeking an icelandic way of life ecperience. Defenitely worth the drive!"

"OK let’s call it like we see it. This is a boarding school in winter and a hotel in the summer. As long as you know that up front, you should have no issues. Check in girl was nice and helpful. Rooms were good size but basic. Black out shades available. Breakfast avaialable, but I suggest going to a local bakery. Great town. Nice people. Great overall experience."
