"Disappointing experience over 6 nights. Despite having paid for one of the most expensive rooms, they gave us a room directly over the lounge and restaurant. Room consistently smelled like a campfire, due to the chimney from the restaurant. One night they threw a private party with a DJ where the music was so loud it made our floor vibrate until after midnight. Said the manager ‘would find a way to compensate us’ and then when we checked out they refused to. "

"We reserved one of the last expensive rooms due to size and there’s no other wires to describe it but weird. No elevator, had a security door that is extremely unpredictable and always took several Times to get it to work with room key. Then the room. Very large but such a waste of space! The room was probably 500sft with about 5’ of bathroom. No way that 2 people could fit in there simultaneously. F/B options also inconvenient to get to, especially from our room and very cramped. On the plus side it is a great location and the staff are friendly. "

"Our first room was awful. We booked a cheap economy room and whilst it was large and full of character, it was awful. The plug sockets didn’t work, and the staff’s solution was to supply a huge extension lead which had to extend around the whole room, to allow us one socket to charge our phones etc by our beds at night. The bed was very uncomfortable and, being on the 1st floor at the front of the hotel, we were awoken very early with numerous delivery vans and their drivers shouting. I complained and they upgraded us to an amazing family room, recently refurbished and very comfortable and higher up with no disturbance. The concierge staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast choice is huge and very good."
