We had everything we needed for our stay. Our host was very nice and gave us many tips for our trip.

This hotel is unique. In àn old house so woodwork ànd fixtures were original. Walls were very thin, you can hear the next room quite plainly. Be advised, there are no televisions. We needed more towels and a blanket for our two night stay but there is no staff working. Overall à pleasant enough stay.

Room was fantastic, virtual staff helpful, free onsite parking, Super fast internet, almost near Galway shops, kitchen had all the cooking/baking/cleaning equipment to use, as well as free tea/coffee/cookies...common property inside and outside needs a bit of shining up, but overall, value for money.

Room was maybe 12’x12’, bathroom 3’x7’, good shower, sink really slow to drain, unless you’re small, no room to sit straight on the toilet, self check-in ok, bed adequate. No washcloths but there were two towels. Price was attractive and if you’re just looking for an “ok” crash pad, this works. Having a kitchen and full size refrigerator was nice.

I can't say enough good things about Glenarde House!! The area is beautiful. There is ample parking onsite, or a bus stop right down the street. The owner was super friendly and very helpful with suggestions about the area when we chatted. The rooms were decent sized for Iteland (no a/c, but it wasn't hot in our room at all, even though it was hot outside - windows open). The common kitchen area was well equipped and super handy to cook meals in during our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer!

This place is perfect if you are not looking for any frills. The room is well maintained and very comfortable. There is a shared kitchen and dining space. It was exactly what we needed as a stop between two destinations!

Our room was in a charming older home about 2km from the train station.For younger people it would be a pleasant walk into town, but it is hilly. The house had shared kitchen and dining room which we didn’t use, but for longer stays it would be very nice. The room was spacious and nicely appointed. However the shower did not drain very well and we were concerned that it would overflow. We found the beds quite soft and we prefer firmer mattresses. There was also a lovely patio and garden. The neighborhood was quiet.

Just know this is a non-staffed place. Directions for entry were clear. Basic facilities that were clean. We hit during a heat wave and a room fan would have been a god send.

The room was clean, access was easy, I liked that they had a communal fridge and kitchen available. I did not meet any staff. But we saw a cute fox by the window in the kitchen nook 😁

It was self service, but easy to enter and get our key as staff had communicated with us prior to our arrival. The room was spacious, lovely decore, and comfortable bed. They provided coffee, milk, and little snacks, otherwuse tge kitchen was well equipped to self cater. A piano in the formal dining room was a treat to enjoy.

The room in this older home was fine. They had carpet which is unfortunate as it was very stained. Our bedroom door in room two once locked was not super secure. Other than that, it was fine.

Whatever this place is, it’s not a hotel in the usual sense of the word. There are no staff. Guests are simply left to enter and fend for themselves. The building is tired. Our shower was blocked with hair and wouldn't drain. I had to remove the hair myself. Paper thin walls meant that not only did we hear every movement and conversation from above, the snoring of the gentleman upstairs could be clearly heard at 4 in the morning, even with earplugs in. In a two week trip around Scotland and Ireland, staying in a different place every night and spending roughly the same amount on each, this has been comfortably our worst experience. Definitely would not recommend.

This was a lovely large room in a stately home tucked away from the lively Salt Hill seaside promenade. Unfortunately we hit rush hour traffic as we approached. inching through the busy Salt Hill city center. We arrived during a rare heat wave. Like most accommodations in Ireland, there were was no AC or fans and no television. There was not a tea kettle in the room, but the house offered use of a large communal kitchen where some guests apparently cooked dinner (based on cleaned dishes drying next to the sink). The owner left out tea bags, milk and wafer cookies and there was a lovely patio outside. It was about a half hour walk into Salt Hill and a drive into Galway city center. We met the owner who graciously advised us where to get a coffee with a view of the ocean, not to mention generously sending a print of my ancestor's house I foolishly left behind. There is also a cafe in a hotel a few minutes walking distance from the site. If you are looking for a quiet, tranquil place to rest and relax on your trip to Ireland this should be at the top of the list.

By far the worse place to stay on our trip! Moldy walls and bathroom shower. One dim light in the room made it more like a prison cell. Didn’t see any living person while there as the check in was online. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. The pics in the ad are very deceiving. What a disappointment.
