"We arrived at 1430, an hour before check in. We were turned away after starting our journey in London at 0430. We asked to wait in a public area but were told there was nowhere to sit and wait. The photos of the property show this to be to the contrary. Not welcoming at all. Great spacious shower, but could use a shelf in shower for soap, shampoo, etc. Breakfast was excellent: fresh bread, croissants, jams, cheese, meats, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, juice. Nice outdoor sitting area, as weather permits. Very easy check-in. Staff was outstanding: polite, helpful, professional. Would definitely stay here again. "

"We stayed three nights over Easter at Capelongue, just one day after opening for the season—and unfortunately, it showed throughout. Check-in was poorly managed. We arrived at 12:30 with a pre-confirmed early check-in, yet no one could tell us when the room would be ready. We were sent to lunch (which was good), but even at 15:10 the room was still not available. When we pointed out that Expedia listed check-in from 15:00, we were told it was actually 16:00. We were eventually given the room...
