"It's a lovely family run hotel. The team are all lovely and extremely helpful.
The hotel itself is modern enough and well presented. I found the bed extremely comfortable. The bar is a nice environment to relax in.
The restaurant wasn't serving dinner but they arranged for a delivery of food and set up a table for me to eat it in the restaurant. The food they recommended was delicious and a good price.
There is plentiful free parking, which includes a Tesla charging point. There is step free...

"This is a former "palace" (really a chateau), which has been converted to a hotel. It is in an isolated location. We called ahead, and they kept the dining room open for almost 1/2 an hour until we arrived!! The staff was extremely helpful. Our room was very large, with a very high ceiling, but was very sparsely and cheaply furnished. The plumbing was bizarre- the room bathroom had two taps, and both delivered very hot water. "Don’t judge a book by its cover. Meaning- the outside of the building and dark entry was off putting. We did have to check in a hotel nearby which was just fine. But be aware. The hallway with the room was spotless and the room nice and clean. Decor could be upgraded but the space was great. There was a closed restaurant below us - in the summer that might be a nuisance"
