"Overall, extremely pleased with our experience at the Ayres Hotel Vista Carlsbad. Everything was clean and seemed new. We had a standard double queen room. It was very spacious and quiet. Breakfast was yummy. They had an omelette bar, waffle bar (make it yourself) as well as cereal, toast, and fruit. Customer service at the front desk was wonderful. "

"Breakfast was sufficient though the breakfast crowd (spring break) was a bit 'untamed'. Staff worked hard to keep place stocked & tidied. Lots of parking. Short drive to shopping."

"Our bathroom had a huge leak in the air vent. Flooded bathroom floor. Maintenance knocked once then entered our room suddenly while my daughter was changing. When we tried calling the front desk to report leak they put us on hold repeatedly. So my husband had to walk down to front desk to report. "

"We had to move rooms due to not being provided the room we bought. The door handle at the second room didn’t work, I called it in and it never got fixed. With luggage in my hands it’s hard to kick a door down. Breakfast cooks were amazing, major props to them for dealing with hungry patrons. "
