The room was clean and quiet. The Onsen was spotless and relaxing after all of our traveling. The staff were kind and efficient. We would stay here again
The hotel is a short walk from Hakata station and Canal City.
Hotel staff were very welcoming and check in was completed quickly using the machine. The rooms are comfortable and the toilet was well designed with a door separating the toilet and bath area.
The best part of this hotel is the breakfast! Totally recommend booking this hotel for the breakfast experience.
Nice Amenities. Enjoyed the public bath. I used it every night of my stay, Very relaxing and nice temperature. Enjoyed the breakfast. We will definitely come back to this hotel again when we are in Fukuoka!
Need to note that the spa does not allow tattoos, nor do they provide or accept tattoo covers. Disappointing, as when booking this was not stated anywhere. Other hotels in Japan will note this. Staff was completely adequate. Minimal security: hotel elevator does not require a key card, for example. Hotel bed and lodging was unremarkable. Location is the main feature of this hotel.
Good location, delicious breakfast, nice onsen, wonderful service! Great stay! 👍

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The staff was very accommodating and so friendly. The breakfast was quite extensive and public onsen nice. Laundry facilities in the hotel are great to downsize your packing. If you don't need your room cleaned they give you towels, toiletries and free mineral water instead. What a great idea. It was only a 7 minute walk to the station, so very convenient.
The attention to detail and the wide range of amenities available show a deep understanding of what guests might need.
Very clean and quiet. Friendly staff.
Very average hotel, gone lay quite disappointing given the price. The single room is TINY and everything feels outdated (e.g. No direct usb outlets like most of the hotels nowadays). It has a public Osen which is nice, however also on the smaller side and didn’t feel well maintained. This hotel seems very rigid, from check-in/out time to Breakfast time & dressing code. Honestly this hotel is lacking the warm welcoming atmosphere one would expect in Japan. Do not recommend.
Not really close to much except the large shopping centre., which is still a 10 minute walk.
Hotel is clean and tidy but with small rooms and bathrooms.
Breakfast is great with a large selection and helpful staff.
All round it is pretty good.
Clean room. Very satisfied with their service. They left a bag of amenities and a bottle of water every day if you requested no cleaning. The public bath was small but maintained clean. It was a tiny room. I’m impressed that the staff, who are from Nepal, speak very good Japanese and have Japanese style hospitality. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my stay.
The hotel gave me a feeling of nostalgia. The lobby is not fancy but the staff were very nice. There were not much facility choice but it was enough. A bit further away from the Hakata Station but is still walkable. Feeling safe and quite, maybe because it is next to the temple.
I found the experience generally pleasant. The room was comfortable and slightly more spacious than typical hotel in Tokyo. It was a welcome surprise.
The breakfast buffet, while not included in the room rate, is well worth the extra cost. It offers a wide variety of Japanese dishes, with highlights including unlimited Fukuoka’s famous mentaiko and a silky chawanmushi (egg custard). These local specialties made breakfast a memorable part of the stay.
However, the check-in process could use some refinement. I arrived at noon to drop off my luggage and hoped to complete the check-in paperwork early, even though I understood the room wouldn’t be ready until 3 PM. Unfortunately, hotel policy required me to wait until exactly 3 PM to begin the check-in procedure. When I returned at that time, the lobby was crowded and I had to wait in a long line. It would be more efficient—and guest-friendly—if the hotel allowed early completion of administrative tasks like passport scanning, so guests could simply pick up their room keys later.
Unlike my experience at Dormy Inn Shimonoseki where staff courteously delivered luggage to the room, Hotel Hokke Club Fukuoka did not offer this service. While not essential, it’s a thoughtful touch that would elevate the overall guest experience.
