"This was the second time this year that we stayed at the Essenhaus. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet! Check-in was fast and the staff here is friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the hot breakfast but wish they had granola to go along with the yogurt. We highly recommend The Essenhaus!"

"Hotel is complete trash. Our room was not even cleaned. Looks like they went in and picked up trash and made the beds with dirty sheets. When I went to front desk they kept saying my room was clean and they didn't have any other rooms. I practically had to beg for clean sheets to put on myself. When I asked housekeeping the next day to clean our room because it was completely dirty. They came in and swept but that was it and they put the dirty stuff on the floor piled back up on the bed....

"The room was clean and the lady at the front desk was helpful the first night. There was rarely someone at the front desk, tho. However, the room had some maintenence issues. There was tiling in the bathroom that was very sloppily repaired; there was a big patch of peeled/missing paint on the walls; the interior of the closet was missing a panel or mirror or something. There was no hair dryer. I know the power outage was not your fault, but we did not get breakfast and that was a bummer."

"We stay here frequently as a stopover traveling from Midwest to East Coast. We are not looking for luxury or adventure, just a safe, clean, comfortable place to spend the night quickly accessible from the Thruway. This hotel has consistently met those expectations year-in and year-out. Breakfast choices are above par. In our experience, it is the best of multiple hotel options at this exit, and we have tried several. "

"Breakfast disappears early with no restocking. Was empty by 8:30 when breakfast ran until 10:00. Watch your charges. Last the a $50 extra charge appeared in our credit card. Told it was a mistake but credit card company had to fight it."
