"We stayed here as a base for the Game Fair and it was a great location for that. We didn’t really explore the area much but we did get pizza from The Hertford which was good. There wasn’t any garden chairs and is it was lovely weather this was a bit amid a shame as the domino was in the courtyard a fair bit. The cottage was pretty, tidy, clean and cosy. No welcome package was a bit of a shame as this has become pretty standard for holiday cottages and the garden was overrun with bindweed...

"Beautiful spacious rooms, lovely views and a lovely place to say. The only thing I can say is that the kids bed was a double not 2 singles and couldn’t be separated and 2 boys weren’t happy about that but we managed and it was beautiful."

The only snag was that although there was air on in the room, it did not have any impact - kept wondering whether it was working - the room was very hot all night. "Breakfast, swimming pool and spa were excellent. One issue was how hot it was overnight. It was one of the hottest days of the year and the room fan was not able to cope.
