"This place was so quiet and the space inside was way better than any hotel room especially when you’re traveling with children. The check in was super easy, you just grab the keys then for check out you can just turn them into a black mailbox on the way out."

"Haven't stayed at a red roof in over 20 years. Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were. The only bad thing was all of the trucks parallel parking and made it hard to navigate in and out of the parking spots plus the workers leaving at 5 or 6 am with the loud trucks wake you up."
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Fredericksburg by IHG
6/10 Okay
"When I first checked in, I couldn't get the lock to work. I finally got in and the room smelled like Marijuana. I had to have my room changed. Every day we had a struggle with the door locks. Had to have keys done multiple times. . Handles on out side of the room door was very loose. Towels looked dirty and stained. I used a towel and when I opened it, it appeared to have makeup on it. I don't wear foundation so I know that it was not from me. I was very grossed out. I hung up the towel to dry. They cleaned my room and next morning I went to take a shower, I grabbed the towel that was rolled up. thinking it was a clean towel and it was the same dirty towel from the day before. Staff was nice, but this is not the Holiday Inn that I am used to."
"While staying at this motel, my daughter was assaulted by another tenant. The police were called and the offender arrested. My family an I were then banned from the property for "drawing too much attention"."
"I have service dogs and did not have an issue checking in, but when I went into the lobby the next morning to get a glass of water, I had my service dogs with me (they must accompany me everywhere to help me), and the staff member tending to the breakfast bar drilled me about not having my dogs in the lobby during breakfast and then proceeded to ask me for my dogs’ papers (which is a NOT permitted under the ADA). She backed off when I suggested she brush up on Title II and III of the ADA’s service animal regulations before approaching a guest in that manner.
The hotel itself was clean but in poor repair. The parking lot and property were not clean."
"We had a pleasant check-in experience. The facility & rooms were clean although they may need some updating in the bathrooms eventually. Breakfast was decent with hot eggs and sausage patties, waffles, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, bread and hard-boiled eggs. Staff was extremely pleasant throughout. No issues with parking and easy access to 95. Would stay again."
"The suite was nice and neat. Breakfast was wonderful, filling on our way out for busy day. Staff was very friendly. The issue was it was stifling hot in room. Air conditioner wasn't working well. Maintenance came and did something to it but it didn't help. They gave us fans to use but still was very warm and humid. Hopefully, they get that fix before summer season starts. Otherwise, it was a nice stay."
