The room was comfortable. Bed linen but no towels provided. Kitchen facilities available at the shared camp kitchens BUT no cooking equipment- no pots pans or cutlery etc. Packs of equipment apparently available for hire but all had gone well before dinner time.

We had a standard cabin which was fine for one night and was close to the restaurants in town. Washroom facilities were spotless and there are lots of walks to do in the area. Our only complaint was that there was a very loud group in the cabin next to us, drinking until early hours. Due to the close proximity of the cabins it’s a bit of a lottery with your neighbours.

Great location for Lake Matheson and the glaciers. Unlike Franz Josef this site is only 5 minutes walk from the village. Cabins are good with all necessary facilities and comfortable beds.
