Booked a river view room (204), rec'd confirmation for room 204, but as we were driving to the hotel, rec'd a text that we would be in room 201, which had a broken blind and a view of the parking lot.
The Inn is like a ghost town, no bar, the restaurant adjacent is no longer open, no breakfast continental or otherwise as advertised. No staff or management on the premises. Was told they are more Airbnb in format.
The positives of our stay is that Ft. Madison itself is charming, and there is an excellent restaurant down the street, Turnwater Bar & Grill. We got a decent nights sleep, but I cannot recommend the Kingsley Inn, nor will I stay there again.
