Now that I've been, I can completely see why that's the case, and kinda wanted to spell out everything I found great and not-so-great: Great The look - everything is quintessential old town architecture, inside and out, and is a beauty to behold. "The Heron House was clean and excellentl located. Only a block from DuVall Street. My issues we're attempting to find unmetered street parking. Parking is $6 an hour unless that 'free' spot is found. The hotel does not provide parking. I know everyone likes something different, but for me, the memory foam mattress remembered too many people. Unless I laid in the middle of the bed, the mattress would give way and roll me to one side or the other. And the pillows were simply flat and hard. Again,...

"Breakfast by the pool was excellent! Pools were nice, with plenty of areas for privacy. We especially enjoyed the private patios and courtyards. Fantastic location!"

"Great property in the heart of downtown. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very close to everything downtown. There are several bars that play music in the area that you could hear but not that bad."
