We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be zooming through airport security and exploring Koppa before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack in your passport, travel documents, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop crammed with your favourite movies are some wonderful options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by wearing layers, and wear flat, closed-toe footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
