Manistique Sands

"I was a little concerned when we pulled up to this hotelas it looked a little run down. The door leading to our room was in pretty bad shape, but once we opened the door, the interior of our room was very nicely updated! There were a lot of modern touches to the inside of our room, which were great! I understand from a brochure left in the room that this hotel was recently bought by a couple and they are in the process of completely upgrading and updating it. They have plans to continue with improvements like new doors and windows, which will help a lot. I have absolutely no complaints about this stay. It was very quiet there. We enjoyed their private lake view across the street and took a stroll down the beach. I believe they have big plans for the beach side of their property too. It might be interesting to visit again in a few years and see a completely different version of this hotel than we saw the other day. I would highly recommend staying here"

"Clean. AC/heat controls were not working. There was AC but no way to control it. Was so disappointed there was no coffee maker in the room and no where to sit outside."

"The room was so clean! There was a nighttime bonfire w/S’mores. There was morning coffee, fruit, and cereal bars. The owner was great about accommodating our dog. All the things worked. Plus it’s really close to beach access and walking trails. I highly recommend this place and will go back."
