"The room I was assigned was in a poor state of repair. Specific issues included:
- The curtain rod had fallen down, requiring me to fix it myself.
- The room lacked the private shower that was advertised and indicated in the reservation details.
Furthermore, my room was changed by the host prior to my arrival without my request. I was only informed of this change via a phone call.

"You only learned after booking that the owner would be in the basement at all times and moving cars around constantly. That was not explained in the listing. He also mowed the lawn while we were there, which was not pleasant while trying to nap. The keypad to enter the home doesn’t work properly and you have to type the code multiple times to finally enter. The beds are not comfortable at all. "I didn’t even stay there. First of all they didn’t even send any instructions in advance. Then they sent me to a different location. The room was in a three bedroom place which I wasn’t aware it’s a shared space. There was no heat (it was 40 degrees in NJ) no toiletries including toilet paper or towels or shampoo. I just left immediately and put a stop payment on my credit card charge. I’ve never had this experience before. "
