"Overall clean and exactly as expected. The pod was cold even with the heater on and there was extreme wind on the night we stayed that was extremely loud. The communal space is nice, but the washrooms were under stocked in terms of paper towel and toilet paper."

"They never sent me an access code to get into my room. The phone # provided to get help. just hung up on me when i called. There was another guest with the same nightmare. We lucked out because an employee just happened to show up and she had to look us up on her phone to give us codes. The cabin was stifling hot, and there wasn't any way to change the room temperature. I had to open the wibdow which made things very loud and windy. The television didn't work. "What an interesting stay. We loved it. We stayed in the haytower. The place was so cool. They created a wonderful lodging out of an old building that in the late 30’s housed farm animals and upstairs kept hay for the livestock. It now has all the conveniences of home with kitchen,washer dryer, dishwasher,fridge,microwave, large tv. Upstairs has 2 twins with views of a waterfall as well as the coastline on the opposite side. Roomy shower. Fun stay. We could have stayed a week or more. Did not get...

"Black Sand Suites was the perfect home base for our time in Vík. The cozy cottages sit right along the coastline, offering gorgeous views and unforgettable sunsets. Our space fit our group perfectly, and “the barn” was such a charming little spot to unwind after long days of sightseeing. It felt peaceful, comfortable, and incredibly convenient. Highly recommend — you really can’t beat this option in the Vík area."
