"I arrived just before 6pm to find my room wasn’t ready, so I waited in the bar. When I finally got in, the room was okay but lacked basic in‑room amenities—there were no cups or kettle, as these are kept in a separate kitchen, which was sparsely stocked. Although I knew the bathroom was shared, I was surprised there was no sink in the room. There were also cobwebs that hadn’t been cleaned, and the door didn’t feel secure; it kept banging in the wind overnight until I wedged it shut. Breakfast...

"Don’t often leave reviews but if you want a break from the Monday to Friday hotel life, this place is ideal. Was greeted as soon as I arrived and offered a choice of rooms. The room had a massive bed and a seating area, plenty of tea and coffee and was offered fresh milk which I accepted. Breakfast was made to order, had a beautifully presented fruit salad, followed by a great fry up made with quality ingredients. Even the WiFi was great "

"Room 3 was really spacious, more like a suite with comfortable sofa and armchair and low table too. The many pictures on the wall were tasteful. The bath was particularly good!"

"Lovely clean room. Staff are the best! Beautiful pub filled with so many friendly people. Rooms are a little small with one ceiling window so can feel abit dark. But beautiful none the less. Could do with a bigger tv. "
