"My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to stay here. OMG!! The staff there is TOP TIER! Best customer service I have EVER had in a hotel setting! "I was enchanted by this property. Having a pool, bar, restaurant was much less important than sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch with a blanket. The property was beautiful. I really enjoyed talking to the manager. He was very helpful and gave me information on the history of the property.
The room was comfortable and had everything I needed.
I will be staying here again when in Waynesville. An absolutely beautiful property."

"This is a Hotel from the early 20th century. It has wonderful character. It doesn't have AC but does not really need it due to being up in the mountains at about 3500 ft. a room fan and open window was more than adequate. We had small issue with a smoke detector battery getting low and the detector started chirping at 4 in the moring. They don't have over night staff so it was fixed in the morning while we were out and fixed by noon. They do have a weekend breakfast that was very good. ...
