"The lodge is right on the edge of the lake and they have barbecues and picnic tables. The room has refrigerator and microwave a little balconies. There’s a little coffee maker and they have a continental breakfast in the morning of cereal and a few pastries with some fruit. We thought it was an exceptional value for the price."

"The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioner made loud, weird noises all night and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower was very dark and awkward, especially for anyone over 5’6”. I’m 5’10” and had to squat to wash my hair. The WiFi was terrible and would barely connect. The location was fabulous though. "

"Same-day booking with same-day check-in. When we arrived, there was no office or property manager on site. We had to call to check in, which was easy enough, but their advertised 24-hour service was not accurate.

"We were greeted warmly by the staff despite being 4-days on the PCT and carrying some of it with us. 😄
The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure and shampoo/conditioner/soap/lotion were high quality. I would absolutely recommend the Vintage Lakeside Inn to other PCT hikers looking for a break in Big Bear."
