The Serra de Tramuntana is a mountain range on Mallorca which was awarded the World Heritage Status by UNESCO in 2011. It is a beautiful, very well preserved area with wonderful hiking trails. This photo was shot a few weeks ago on one of its many peaks at sunset. While no human appeared to have been anywhere on the mountain, there were many wild goats and sheep enjoying the last moments of sunlight (if you look close, you can see a sheep on the left). #LeaveNoTrail, #LifeAtExpedia

Verified traveller

Esporles makes a great base to explore the Tramuntana mountains. It is not really a tourist destination like Valdemosa,it has a more authentic Spanish feel. It has a few restaurants, but I found Sa Bodega to be the best.
