Hyatt House Davis

"Overall I think Hyatt House is a comfortable place to stay if you need extra space (ie, traveling with children or a group) but it is not very clean and the service is mid to below average, especially for the price and the fact that there are many other options in the area. Pros: - Large rooms with a separate living space and kitchen. (The dining table doubles as a workspace/desk.) - The included breakfast isn’t the usual cold items, like pastries and cereal, but rather hot items, like bacon and eggs. - There is a heated pool. - There is a bar and cafe onsite. Cons: - The shower was not clean! There was hair (not mine) on the wall, and there were unknown dark things in the corners of the floor. I tried to rinse the shower before using it, but the shower floor wasn’t sloped enough for the water to drain properly, so I had to stand in a mini pool with these floating objects! - If your room faces the freeway, the windows and doors will rattle from the pressure change when trucks drive by! This is more obvious at night when there’s no other noises, making it difficult for sensitive sleepers to sleep! - The lobby is cute but wasn’t staffed when I checked in. - Though there’s a bar and cafe, I never saw anyone working there over the 2 days I was there. - Though there’s a pool, it is small and not well maintained so there were lots of debris floating in it. It didn’t make for a nice swim or soak, which I was looking forward to since it was over 100F."

"This motel was a nice new spot whose location was a little bit tricky to find at first. It was very modern and clean and set back a bit from the road. There was a nice pool and landscaped relaxation area out back, though we did not have time to take advantage of it. The bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast with coffee, yogurt, fruit, juice, cereal and bread was available at 6 am. We were greeted remotely on a monitor at checkout time, and we dropped our key cards into a box. I understood that we would get 24 hour support by phone, but we did not need it. Recommended."

"Loved this motel. For the first time ever, I booked our room for a day later than we needed it at the end of our road trip. The staff member on duty was very gracious, helpful and he sorted it out - lucky for us, there was a room available. Our room was spacious, had great WIFI, a great bed, desk, sofa and a coffee table. The AC was a bit loud, but no worse than the other motels on this trip, and it worked well in this large space. Parking was right in front of our room, and the motel and neighborhood was very quiet. We left very early the next morning so I can't speak to the morning refreshments. We will remember to stay here the next time we are in the area."

"The staff were friendly and room reserved was ready on time. The rooms look like they have been refreshed fairly recent long based on blankets and laminate wood style flooring. The bed though was hard and the pillows were small and quite flat. The bathroom, while basic cleaned needed a good cleaning. Tub drain filled with hair, looked like outside of toilet was wiped down, but with a bit of a dirty towel and stains around the mirror frame and faucet that with a little scrubbing came off. Yes I tried. I gave three stars as it did include a small breakfast and was under $100 including tax. This is definitely a place that you get what you pay for."

"We stayed at this hotel for two nights for my daughter’s wedding in Winters.we chose this hotel because it was closer to the venue .I have to say that we like everything about it.Very friendly and helpful staff.We forgot our toothbrushes and they deliver them right away.The room was very spacious and clean.We did not have time to enjoy the pool but my brother’s family did and they like it.The last but not the least it was the hot breakfast with a variety of fresh fruits,yogurt,toasts,juices and good coffee.If we ever need a place in that area again without no doubt we’ll stay there."
