The Anderita Beach Hotel offers an excellent value. It's a short distance from the airport, its own restaurant plus proximity to several others, walking distance from the Victoria Mall, and is just across the road from the lake. The staff are cordial and efficient, and rooms are spotlessly clean.

Fridge leaking over exposed electrical wiring. Unfriendly checkin staff, tried to charge extra for airport transfer when it was included in the price, uncomfortable bed, pillow was so bad I used my flight pillow instead. The location of the hotel is great, was nice to have a balcony but the room itself was not in great condition

Room for improvement

Had a team of 6 over two different stays, so 6 rooms in total, the Beds not that comfy and A/C did not work in ay rooms. Good location for Lake Victoria

The location was good, however the hotel was not really a comfortable stay. There was a lot of noise that carried from room-to-room at night and the bathroom had mold on the ceilings. The breakfast was decent, however it seems like the only thing you are paying for is the location, which is right on Lake Victoria and near Victoria Mall / Imperial Mall. Additionally, the shuttle to the airport is helpful. I don't believe I will stay here again, as the price exceeds the quality of the hotel and sleep.

Make certain you get a room on the upper level with a view of Lake Victoria - view is like a postcard with a wonderful balcony. Very friendly helpful staff. Walk across the dirt road to have dinner or drinks on the edge of the lake - the hotel has its outdoor restaurant there. There is also a pizza place next to the hotel dining.

If you are expecting American standards you will be disappointed but if you know Uganda and have been before you will be pleased. This was my second visit. The hotel grounds are beautiful, air conditioners work. We will stay there again.

They don't accept credit cards. So bring cash! This was a hassle. There was almost no water coming out of the shower. Another challenge. The infrastructure is old, but the staff tries their best. The free airport shuttle cost US$10.

I stayed here both before and after my Uganda Gorilla safari. I loved the location with Lake Victoria across the dirt road - view from my second floor balcony was gorgeous. The staff always was helpful and very pleasant - they always sent someone to fix things when something did not work which was frequent as property is older. If you can manage with very basic amenities and just want an inexpensive hotel with friendly staff and a postcard view, do stay at Anderita Beach!

This property has a unique staff members that make you feel home and comfortable. If you need anything that you don't see, just ask, and many suggestions will be given to you. They have a mall and many supermarkets around this property
